Whether you work as a programmer in a company or a freelance creating a product without the pressure of a timeline, the longer you work on a project, the boring it gets. You lose that drive that you once had when you came up with the idea and initially started the project. This is normal. 

Why It Happens?

When you get demotivated, you lose focus. You tend to look for other things to focus your attention on. You may even start another project but then the same will keep happening unless you address this problem of yours.

Whenever I feel bored and it feels like the work is getting repetitive, I pause for a while and take a breather and then kick-start my brain and program it to tell you to finish the project. What I do mostly when I feel like it is watch videos that will let me appreciate what I’m doing.


Videos that are inspiring and motivates you to keep going. There are a lot of great videos out there that will show you exactly what I’m talking about here but here are what I love personally:

 It’s impossible not to get pumped up to be a programmer and not get back on the game. Everything in the series just relates to you as a programmer or anyone who works in the tech industry.


So focus all your energy and attention to finishing a project that you started and don’t let anything get in your way of finishing it.
